COMMON SENSE LEADERSHIP

Austin needs actual leadership.

I will listen carefully, understand the facts, and act responsibly. District 8 needs a council member who represents this district, and understands that every vote affects the whole city.

My experience is practical - running a business, managing construction, maintaining assets, reviewing information and dealing with the consequences of decisions. I will bring that experience to the council dais.

RESPONSIBLE SPENDING

Affordability is accountability.

City government should distinguish between wants and needs, maintain what it already owns, and set clear performance standards for non-profit, NGO and for-profit contracts.

If a program meets its goals, fund it. If it does not, change it, improve it, or stop funding it. That requires regular monitoring - not just approval when the money is spent. Irresponsible spending affects taxpayers, city services and the people those programs are supposed to help.

PUBLIC SAFETY INTEGRITY

Public Safety includes Police, EMS, Fire, wildfire preparation, neighborhood safety and the conditions in and around homeless camps.

Austin should fill critical vacancies and reduce the strain on the people already doing the work. Residents deserve timely emergency response, safe neighborhoods and clear accountability for results.

RESPONSIVE REPRESENTATION

Residents deserve answers from the person they elected.

I will hold quarterly neighborhood meetings at different locations across District 8, communicate clearly about city decisions and remain available.

I will listen, respond and follow up.  Transparency is not a slogan. It is a responsibility.
